It is a given that you would want to make friends when traveling, but as a solo traveler, you need to prioritize your safety.

Next, you must be very instinctive. If you feel off or you have the sense that something is wrong, then you better trust that feeling. It is always better to be safe than sorry. Always assess the situation before making any moves.

Knowing these simple pieces of information can save you the trouble of attracting someone you are not interested with. Understand the activities you want to try out and read on the history of the places you want to visit. Try to learn the language, if you are going to a non-English speaking country. Assess the money you will be spending and add on a little extra in case of emergency. Pack only your essentials and make sure that you have enough set clothes for your vacation.
