The Ionian

Lefkada is an island
bounded by two dozen islets it’s attached to the Mainland of Greece by a floating
bridge and a long walkway. The island is very accessible making it a well known
vacation place. It offers tourists range of natural, recreational, and cultural
attraction sites. The west part of the Island has beautiful beaches while the
southern part is a place for kite flying and paraglide. The town of Lefkada is the
island’s most appealing cultural establishments, which consists of the
Charamogleious Eidiki Lefkadiaki Library and the 12th-century fort Agia Mavra. The
Archaeological Museum showcases an impressive collection of artefacts from the Palaeolithic
Era until the 4th century A.D.
Ithaca is where the
famous Greek hero Odysseus resided. It is the home of the very popular Homer’s
tale of Odysseus. You will also find here some of the ancient folklore sites
like the Arethoussa Spring and Cave of the Nymphs. Visit also Vathy since you
can find here most of the island’s
cultural attraction sites like the too

least, you should visit Kefalonia the largest of Ionian Islands and one of the
most picturesque site. Argostoli, island’s capital stands like a pitch where
you can see the overlooking Koutavous lagoon. Another attraction place is the Melissani
Lake.
