Vacation season is almost upon us and I am
pretty sure that everyone is already busy arranging their travel itineraries
and bookings. If you love flying, then it is also the best time for you to be
face to face with airport foods. Many airports offer wide variety of foods and
if you wish to enjoy your flying experience, we recommend that you learn to
differentiate which foods to eat and which foods to consume. To help you out,
we have provided a small list of the airport foods that you should avoid
consuming before your flight:

Energy drinks
If you woke up early for
your trip, there is a high chance that you are already feeling groggy and
sleepy while waiting for your flight at the airport. Because of this, you will
surely get tempted to consume energy drinks. While this may seem like a good
idea, drinking energy drinks before a flight will cause you to become restless
during your flight. In addition to that, you will find it hard to sleep during
the flight. Lastly, the caffeine in these drinks can increase your chance of
being dehydrated and that is something you would not want when flying.

Cold Sandwiches
These are the foods that
you should avoid, especially if you are in a diet. Many travelers love to eat
bread and sandwiches at the airport is the best thing that they can consume to
satisfy their cravings. However, there is nothing good that you can get from
these types of sandwiches because these are caloric dense but they lack in
nutrients. Let us also not forget about the fact that these are not delicious
too. If you really love sandwiches, we recommend that you make one at home
instead.

If you are craving for
something sweet but you wish to stick to your diet, you would most certainly
opt for fruit smoothies. These sugar-filled drinks will do your diet no good.
If you really wish to drink healthily, we recommend that you create your very
own smoothie at home.

Sugary food and drinks.
Sugary foods may be
satisfying for the taste buds but they will only do little for the body. These
food items provide minimal nutrition and will increase your chances of feeling
jet lagged. Substitute these foods with fruits and other healthy options and
you are good to go.
If you wish to stay
healthy during your trip, it is recommended that you
avoid consuming any of the airport foods that are mentioned above. In addition
to being overpriced, the items mentioned above can affect your flying
experience and can potentially ruin your first day in a foreign destination.
